The Enrollment
19 June, around 9:00 a.m. in the morning when JL showed up his Mickey Mouse bag and keep on telling us that’s his school bag, which he believes in ever since that bag was bought. That day, as a mom, I sense the interest and eagerness of my son in schooling. I asked him if he really wants to go to school already and he promptly say, “Yes”. What I do is call my cousin, Ryan, who was a teacher in The Holy Lady Academy. I asked him if it’s still possible to enroll. At that time, he was in school because there’s an on-going orientation. Maybe things are really meant to be. We went to the school, at first, just to inquire. I talked to the directress, Dr. De Guia, who was very kind in accommodating us. She explained to me everything down to the necessary payments needed for the Nursery level. Actually she gave me a discount and an option not to pay immediately the down payment and for that I owe my cousin a lot…hehehe (thanks cuz’). I pay first the books and uniforms so JL could start already the following day. Ryan took JL for a walk inside the school. I could barely see the excitement of JL in his eyes. My heart jumps in excitement too, so I agreed to enroll my son and settle the necessary payment. After that we go ahead to SM Marilao to buy the required materials in the list given by the directress. JL was so busy choosing his own stuffs especially the bag. We almost forgot the time as we took our lunch by 1:30 p.m. and just continue shopping afterwards. We’re home by 3:00 p.m. and I started covering his books and put on nametags on his things...I sewed his patches in his polo…I checked for a lot of times if everything were already prepared… whew! 11:00 p.m., at last everything was ready…I can’t sleep…I’m excited…hehehe
